HFST4005 Environmental Cell Single Tilt Holder and Furnace

The HFST4005 Environmental Cell Single Tilt Holder and Furnace permits the transfer of a specimen from a furnace into the TEM under vacuum or controlled atmosphere.

Key Features
Integral isolation gate valve

Provides isolation from atmosphere gasses to prevent oxidation of the specimen
Specimen securing mechanism

Screwed clamp ring gently and securely holds the specimen in place
Temperature range

Ambient to approximately +1200 °C (in furnace)
Maximum temperature dependant upon the partial pressure of the gasses used
Furnace preparation station

Water-cooled protection (cooling water supply required) and can be evacuated or supplied with reaction gasses
System package

Includes temperature controller, protective sleeve with pump-out fitting, pump-out tool, holder loading stand, clamping rings and clamping ring tools
Tilt ranges and compatibility of specimen holders vary according to the TEM manufacturer, model, pole piece gap, and the presence of in-gap accessories. Please contact your local Gatan representative for more information and regarding specific gas reactions required.
